We are passionate about using our own & other local farm’s flowers, herbs and foliage in all of our designs. We believe having flowers as a regular part of your home and work life is a straightforward way to bring greater peace and joy to your life, while upholding your earth-friendly ethos. And we believe including herbs in your floral arrangements adds fragrance unlike any you can find in the botanic world, plus fresh and interesting foliage & blooms not commonly seen in floral design. It’s time for something new!
At times we offer special extras such as culinary bouquet garni, wreaths, swags, herb basting brushes and pot-et-fleur to your Subscription orders, or handmade vases and vessels from our own ceramic artist & other area local Seattle potters.
No Greenwashing Here
Like you, we believe utterly in the importance of keeping the earth in mind at all times: from growing & purchasing local and seasonal herbs and flowers, to using our own non-toxic flower food for herb and flower conditioning, using only reusable/compostable and recyclable materials throughout the design process, composting all plant waste, and using sustainable packaging (no plastic flower sleeves here, ever.)
We keep our delivery area tight to control our gas use and emissions, and we deliver using our own hybrid vehicles.
Every subscription arrangement is gathered and held together with reusable rubber bands and/or compostable twine, and flowers are kept fresh through the use of compostable towlettes and fully compostable bags.

The cherry on top is Floriography: teaching you the language of herbs and flowers. By having every herb and bloom identified in each arrangement, you’ll quickly become well-versed in plant identification. And by learning their long-held meanings, you’ll discover a fascinating new language, which is incredibly meaningful to share with others. After all, who doesn’t want to know that Lupine means determination, imagination and creativity, or that Thyme means courage and strength? Knowledge is, simply, fun.

We will always provide subscription add-ons that uphold our green commitment, such as pottery by hyperlocal potters, organic herbal products and accessories, and upcycled and vintage vases and containers.
Help Make Floristry Cleaner
The floral industry can be a dirty practice: with flowers grown in pesticides, herbicides and fungicides, then flown long distances by plane and shipped by truck, followed by being conditioned in chemical flower food, wrapped in plastic film sleeves and stickered. Then, often florists design using floral foam: a non-biodegradable substance containing toxic chemicals dangerous to both the environment and humans.
Increasingly the floral industry is taking real steps to change these destructive practices, but we can all speed up this process by committing to local, seasonal, sustainable floristry. The kind of flowers you buy, and how they are designed, matters.
